> >We heard from Kelvin Smith: "The bite is onnnn! Spanked a limit of stripers Sunday even with the rough seas. Average fish 18 - 20 lb class , no monsters but maybe next trip."
> >A customer reported seeing 2 keeper flounder at the Pier last night. Although the length was 18 1/2" and 19" the fish were very thin.
> >Fishing Report by Sue Foster: "Water Temperature (WTMP): 47.3 °F°Again, I wish I could say the fish were biting in earnest, but they still are not. The weather was nasty cold and wet most of the week and windy the rest of the week. A few tautogs were caught on Sunday, the only day we had a "window" of nice weather before the wind came. Anglers are casting bait in the surf and lures at the Inlets any chance they get. Party boats are catching BIG tautog but only a few cod now. "Get Sum" charter boat caught some tautog in the bay. Maryland has officially announced the 2011 flounder regs. We will have an 18-inch size limit this year, one inch shorter than last year! Flounder season opens 4/16 in MD."
> >Note that the striper citation this year is 30#.
> >Local ponds are producing crappies, bass and pickerel. White and yellow perch are being found in brackish waters. Offshore, big tautog are being caught in the wrecks. The tog regulations are April 1 - May 11, 15", 3 a day; July 1 - Aug. 31, 14" 10 a day and Sept. 29 - Mar 31, 14" 10 a day.

The Radford, at a length of 563 feet, will be the longest vessel ever reefed in the Atlantic, with the sinking to take place at the Del-Jersey-Land inshore site located 26 miles southeast of the Indian River Inlet. The sinking is expected to take place in spring or summer of 2011, over the jointly-developed Del-Jersey-Land reef, which is equidistant from fishing ports in Indian River, Cape May, N.J., and Ocean City, Md.
