>> The Daiwa Rep will have specials the day of the Flea Market. Eagle Claw is offering Buy 2 get 1 free on selected crabbing supplies, sand spikes and other items. Aqua Clear is also running specials. Star and St. Croix is offering 10% off on selected rods. Many other reps will be at here on Sat., April, 6. We will open at 5 AM.

>> All clothing in the store will be 50% off except foul weather gear, waders and boots.

>> Anglers start setting up before 5 AM. Bring your own table or use your tailgate.

>> Besides the above, Old Salt Offshore Gear, Saltwater Fly Anglers of Delaware with Don Avondolio, Delaware Paddle Sports, Striper King Gear, YouSneadThisGear, Ellie’s Nautical Art, and DSF will be in town to answer questions and explain their products. Only one space per angler! No dealers please.

>> White perch have been hitting at Round Pole Bridge, the Old Rt 1 Bridge, the Spillway in Milton, in the Broadkill, Oyster Rocks and in Petersfield Ditch. The water is still too cold for flounder and rockfish. They are being caught on bloodworms, nightcrawlers, grass shrimp and minnows.

>> Rob Cox, Louie Sartori and Uncle Eddie went to the Washingtonian Wreck and caught 31 tog with only 3 being keepers. The water temp was 44.3 degrees.

>> Catfish are being caught at 13 Curves Bridge on chicken and nightcrawlers.

>> As per DSF, a 16” tog was caught at the IRI on green crabs by Clay Harrison.

>> Local ponds are producing large mouth bass, bluegills, sunnies and pickeral.

>> Tog have been reported at Site 10.

>> "https://www.facebook.com/edward.hughart" sent us an email: “I fished at Augustine Beach yesterday on the incoming tide and got some nice size perch but no striper. I saw about 15 people fishing slow on the Bite.”

>> Sue Foster, Oyster Bay Tackle, OC and Fenwick Island: “First flounder of the year was caught in Ocean City by Keith Weber on Monday! The water temperatures were running around 44 degrees.. We heard flounder were biting better in Wachapreague, VA. As soon as the water temps rise a few more degrees we should see stripers, tautog, and more flounder inshore. Offshore, Captain Monty on the Morning Star had some big tautog catches.


Trout season opens Sat., April 6 for the streams in the north, (White Clay).

>> Shark management plan of 8’min has been tabled stay at 54”.

>> Sea Bass will open May 19th for the remainder of 2013 and it will be 12 1/2” and 20 per angler per day.

>> Tautog is now open until May 11 with a creel limit of 3

per day at 15”.

>> Flounder is currently 18”, 4 per day

>> Striper is 28”, 2 per day
