FISHING REPORT

>> Customers are reporting that keeper tog are being pulled from the rocks at the IRI.

>> Conquest Rd. is not accessible due to the NE winds of the last couple days. Three R's Rd. has a 3’ drop-off at the water's edge, but still fishable.

>> A customer reported today that this past weekend he caught 6 flounder with 2 of them being keepers. He was fishing in the Lewes Canal with a fly tipped with a minnow.

>> Denny Coffman weighed in a 3.3#, 17” tog taken from the rocks at the IRI.

>> Mike Guerriera weighed in a 38.9#, 41” drum taken off the Broadkill Beach at night.

> >From Steve Cushing: “How’s it going. My girlfriend, Jess, caught and released her first ever keeper striped bass. It would make her day if you guys could put it on your Facebook page. We've both liked the page (I'm Steve C). Pockets would recognize me as willfishforfood from the forums. The fish was 44" and 39# and was caught in the C&R section of the Delaware River.”

>> Keith Tolley writes: "Good night at the Pier! I had 3 over 18” and released 3 shorts - all on Gulp. It was the outgoing tide in shallow water, very slow retrieve, fish were not aggressive. My buddy John got a 19-1/2” and released 3 shorts. Those were the only keepers we saw other than 2 that were leaving when we got there after 10:00"

>> ”I am the one straining. (in picture). The drum weighed in at 33#, 36” long. Caught him on the incoming tide on Broadkill Beach in front of our house using blood worms from Bill’s.” Broadkill Bill

>> Bucktail Bob just called from the Outer Wall to let us know he was on his way back in with a 3 man limit of tog on green crabs. WTG BB!!!! Fishing is really turning on!!!

>> Jerry Tomczyk caught 17 and 16” tog from the IRI using shrimp.

>> Don Parett emailed a picture of his catch of blue fish at Key Box Rd.

>> ”Thanks guys for having green crabs. We had a blast on the wall catching dinner. We got 12 nice keepers to 20”. Tog were jumping and chewing crabs.” Stu, Stan, Joe & Captian Potty Mouth.

>> Just at the close of business Sunday, in came Joel Robinson with a 28" weakfish caught on a minnow at Lewes Beach.

>> Jim McElroy, PA, caught a 31”, 17# black drum on clams; beach is unknown, but it was on the ocean side.

>> J.T. DiGuglielmo and Jacob Lorea with “HeyJack Sportfishin” limited out four days in a row with only one striper under 34” in the upper potions of the DE bay. He was fishing the Delaware side. Largest fish measured 42”. Fresh bunker was the ticket in the 18-20’ water.

>> Fishing Report by Sue Foster, Oyster Bay Tackle, OC, “Water Temp. 50.3 - Fishing this week was fair. The flounder bit good on Friday and Saturday and slowed up on Sunday. Oceanic Pier saw a good amount of fish including flounder, tog, short stripers, bluefish, shad, skates, one trout and lots of blowfish. Skates were in the surf, along with a surprising amount of blowfish, a couple black drum, a few bluefish, nice sharks, but only a few stripers this past weekend. ANY DAY, the striper run will begin in earnest! Tog fishing was a little slow this weekend, but should pick back up as the water warms back up.

>> Chuck Nagle called from the Pier and had three flounder with the largest being 19”. He said they were all caught on pink Gulp.
