>> Paul P of BSS took his 3 grandchildren: Abby, 5 yrs, Jake, 3 and Aiden 2 along with his daughter-in-law Sarah, fishing in Masseys Ditch and caught numerous spot and croaker. Needless to say, all had a incredible day fishing.
>> Chris Tharp, Ashburn, VA, was kayaking at CHSP Pier and caught a 20" 2.8# flounder using spec rig and Gulp.
>> Capt. Trey Parker reporting from the O.C. Fishing Center. "It was an unbelievable day today on the first day of the tournament. Twenty-eight big eye tuna were weighed with large amounts of yellowfins all caught in/around the Washington. Other boats that traveled to the Hot Dog area had a great day of blue fin bites. The majority of the boats had their limit".
>> Capt. Trey Parker reporting while running back in from the Washington Canyon on the second day of the OC tuna tournament. "A big eye is in the box (weighed 218) also have 3 yellowfin and a dolphin water temp 75 Deg. Pilot whales are in the Canyon thick with bait marked everywhere. All fish were caught on skirted ballyhoo. The big eye was caught on a z-wing planner board down about 70ft with a large white islander skirted ballyhoo."
>> Capt. Trey Parker reporting from the weigh in line at the oc fishing center. "Traveled today back to the Washington Canyon. Thousands of pilot whales, porpoises and birds along with alot of bait filled the canyon once again. However the bite was very slow to almost nothing. Crew ended up releasing a white marlin, putting one mahi in the box along with 3 yellowfin. Majority of the boats had no fish to weigh. Slow End to the weekened. All fish were caught on daisy chains and a naked ballyhoo."
>> Devon Willy traveled to the Hot Dog and picked up 5 dolphin and had 4 blue fin hook- ups and ended up pulling the hook before being boated. All were caught on the chunk ccwith butterfish in 78 deg. water.
>> The puppy drum bite is turning on in Masseys Ditch with clam and sand fleas as the preferred bait as our customers are reporting.
>> Corey Rutledge nailed a 22" red drum at Massey's Landing./
>> Chuck Nagel caught these fish at Masseys Landing. A 4.45#, 23" flounder and a red drum, 4.10#, 22" using Gulp and a bucktail. On another trip, Chuck Nagel did it again! He landed a c21 1/2", red drum on a bucktail and Gulp.
>> Greg Zeigler wrote on facebook: "7-21 and 7-22. "13" croaker, 14.5" sea trout, and 20", 5lb flounder from Baker's Channel. All released for someone else to enjoy. All caught on hair jigs w/ GULP!"
>> JamesDove caught a 22.5" redfish , 12" girth, 4.8# , also a 20" flounder, 3.4#, caught at IRI on Gulp .
>> Ed, Austin, Joe, Norm, Bill and John fished Conquest Rd using mullet, bunker and fresh spot resulting in catches of kings, trout, spot, croaker and flounder using #6 hooks with floats.
>> Tim Sullivan, Pike Creek , DE. caught a 3.5#, 22" flounder using squid and minnow at Roosevelt Inlet.

DOVER (July 9, 2013) – Summer is the perfect time to take great photos of anglers enjoying the outdoors and submit them to the Division of Fish and Wildlife’s 2013 Delaware Fishing Photo Contest. The winning photo will be featured on the cover or inside of the 2014 Delaware Fishing Guide to be published next spring.
>> 2013 Mid-Atlantic $500,000. in its 22nd year. This year’s event is set for August 18-23. Canyon Club Resort Marina, Cape May, New Jersey, will serve as the host facility and tournament headquarters for boats fishing out of Cape May. Sunset Marina, Ocean City, Maryland, has again been enlisted to serve as tournament headquarters for those who desire to fish from that port.
