Captain Bill Baker has started his radio fishing report on WGMD 92.7FM and it will air every day at 6:26 AM. This will be a fresh new up to date report on where they are biting and what they are biting on. All of this inside information can also be heard on our web site billssportshop,com.
Annual Flea Market
>> Are you ready? Saturday is the big day and,as always, our annual flea market is April 5, 5 AM. One space is yours for free. Did I mention that we have a 280 lb. employee who will oversee the parking? Bring your own table or use the tailgate of your pickup truck.
This year we are having lots of sales in honor of our 20th Anniversary. As a matter of fact, the flea market specials will be available for Sunday as well. All clothing will be 50% off for starters. Stay tuned…
Get your questions ready for the reps. They will be glad to help you get started using their products. So far, we have Tica, Danielson, Shimano, AFTCO, PowerPro, AquaClear, Normark, Eagle Claw, Daiwa, Rapala, Striper King Gear, and Suffix. There will be free goods given out with purchase as well as BOGO deals.
Outside vendors are Striper King Gear, Over the Waves Sand Sticks, Delaware Paddlesports, Lil Angler II Charters, Fish Whisperer Charters Delaware Fisherwoman and Nautical Art by Ellie.
Chris Connor of ‘Long Dogs’ will be serving the food at our Flea Market. Please support him for your coffee and breakfast sandwiches.
>> April 12th, on our parking lot, we will have a US Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander, Bob Adams. He will inspect your boat and give you an inspection sticker. Bill’s Sport Shop will have everything you need to purchase to pass this inspection. No need to leave and worry about not getting your sticker that day.
Military Appreciation Day, Delaware Chapter
>> We are still in need of at least 20 more vessels for active military appreciation day (Mad), Oct. 11. You do not have to be a licensed Captain. Please contact Bill Jr, 645 7654, for information on volunteering and donating.

>> April 19th Join Capt. Brian of DFF/'Lil Angler II and CJ of SKG on our second “Fishing 101 Series”. The subject will be “Black Drum and Shark Fishing from a Boat”.
Black Drum will be from 10:00 AM to Noon, on Sat., April 19th. There will be a 1 hour lunch break and Shark Fishing will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. There will be a nominal charge of $10.00 for the day. Coffee, soda, water and snacks will be provided. Sixteen years of age and younger will be free of charge.

‘Take a Kid Fishing!’ dates announced by DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife
DOVER (March 27, 2014) – Do you know a child or young teen who might enjoy learning about fishing and trying their hand as an angler at landing a fish? Through the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Take a Kid Fishing! program, you’ll have your choice of five upcoming dates when budding anglers age 6 through 15 and a parent/guardian are invited to come out and cast a line.
Take a Kid Fishing teaches young people fundamental fishing skills and conservation concepts. The program is sponsored by DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife through its Aquatic Resource Education Center near Smyrna. Delaware Nature Society and Delaware State Parks partner with the Division of Fish and Wildlife to provide host sites for the program. Along with the angling, these free-admission* fishing days also feature activity stations and prizes. Fishing equipment is provided, but participants may want to pack a picnic lunch.Take a Kid Fishing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates:
Saturday, April 12 – Abbotts Mill Nature Center, Milford, Directions to Abbotts Mill
Saturday, May 3 – Killens Pond State Park*, Felton, Directions to Killens
Saturday, May 17 – Lums Pond State Park*, Bear, Directions
