>> A customer stopped in and said he heard of a snakehead being caught in Coursey's Pond Spillway. Do not put snakeheads back in the water!!!!

>> Another customer was telling us about 30# and 40# stripers, 8# trout and big flounder being caught up near Mispillion by commercial netters.

>> We have reports of flounder being taken in the Canal on Gulp.

>> Congratulations to Bill Powell of Ocean City for, once again, catching the first recorded black drum in the Assateague Surf ... Fish measured 38". Sent to us by Sue Foster , Oyster Bay Tackle.

>> Green crabs, surf clams and bloodworms will be in abundance this weekend at Bill's Sport Shop!

>> Dave Chappell checked in the first flounder of the season. The 19 incher ate a Gulp! during outgoing tide in the Lewes Canal. The fish was checked in at Lewes Harbor Marina

>> Jason Duncan sent us a picture of himself on the beach today with a short striper caught on bloodworms.

>> Capt. Carey Evans of the "Grizzly" sent us this email: The fishing and weather were finally both good for a change. Ray Fisher and family had a great day of tog fishing harvesting a limit up to 7.5 lbs. Margaret Fisher was high hook but Paul Fisher had the big fish of the day award. Master Kim and family joined us next and also harvested a limit of tog to 7 lbs. Their young boy Joseph had a great day We should see tog limits on a daily basis thru May 11 when the season closes. We have seen plenty of bait out in the ocean so the stripers should be around as well. Don't miss the chance to catch a great big black drum this May. Sea bass fishing will open on May 19. Looks like our Flounder regulations will be 4 fish at 16" so it should be a great summer.
