>> Amy Lewis sent this via FB messenger: “Caught 3 flounder last night at Cape Pier on a bucktail bought from Bill's...too bad none were keepers.”

>> Flip we were out solo today. Caught 4 flounder. Two at 24", 4.35# each and two measuring 18". We also caught 7 croakers. Thanks, Flip… Always a great feeling to put our customers "on fish"!!!

>> ”After three 3 successful trips out to B Buoy and 18 total flounder, I need to take time out to say "thank you". I personally want to thank Bill Jr and the staff at Bill's Sport Shop. Since we met in late July 2008, you guys have been very good at selling me all my fishing gear to include rods & reels. Bill Jr and Paul always took time out to teach me how to fish in the ocean and wreck fishing. Always willing to show me things on the chart maps as well as helpful tips with using bait & tackle. You guys are simply "the best"!!! Ryan Lehmann sent this to me via FB messenger (He is a very proud Dad !!!): Way to go and congrats! Now he is hooked!!

On another trip “- My son, Nicholas Lehmann with his first flounder... EVER! Just legal at 16" on Site 10 today!! Aboard the ‘TOO EZ’ Well, Jr he did it again! Nicholas Lehmann was high hook and out fished Dad and little brother today on Site 10 with an impressive 19" flounder!! He's got the itch and Daddy likes!! (Via facebook)

>> Matt Schuler got his limit again at Site 10, up to 23", 4.8#. It was too late to make it in to you guys… next time! And on another trip, the Canal produced two days in a row…got limit and biggest was 19.5”.

>> Mike King sent this report via Facebook messenger: “Good day Bill and crew. Wanted to share our one and only keeper flounder from Old Grounds yesterday. Capt. Mike King along with Alexis King and Anthony Soccoa worked for a few hours before the storm hit. This is Anthony's first DE flounder.”

>> Bill Walker III sent us this report via facebook messenger. “Hey Bill! My name is Bill Walker the 3rd, and my father and I went out to the Old Grounds Friday and cleaned up. You may remember me from when I was a young buc, my dad and I frequently visited your shop. Photos are enclosed.” Always great to see kids come back as dults!!!! Sometimes we even get to see a 3rd generation start to fish!

>> Jason Daniels sent this via facebook messenger: “Eventful day at the Wall from the husband and wife team, Jason and Melissa Daniels and buddy, Terry Timmons. We used green crab and fleas but the fleas got it done. The tog was 19'' and was caught by Melissa. We wanted to stop by with our catch but the traffic kept us at bay.”

>> Brady Anderson, age 11, caught a nice 10", .55# spot while fishing with his dad in the Roosevelt Canal. Brady and his dad live in Angola, DE.

>> The Sussex County winner of the Youth Fishing Tournament and claiming third place Statewide, is 7-year-old Andrew Wertz of Lewes, who caught 2.74# of fish in Millsboro’s Ingrams Pond.

>> Fishing Report by Sue Foster, Oyster Bay Tackle, OC. “Water Temp: 73.6. Fishing this week was pretty good on the flounder scene. There's tons of throw-backs but there's keepers too. Just got to keep working at them. The bay is absolutely full of croaker. They are not big but there are some keepers out there. Baby to 14” seems to be the norm. There's plenty of action for sure. Take your light tackle!. At night underneath the lights at the Oceanic Pier, anglers are catching shad, blues, short stripers and croaker. The Rt. 50 Bridge is seeing flounder and croaker by day and blues and short stripers at night. Surf is typical summertime with anglers seeing kingfish, spot, sharks, skates, snapper blues and croaker. A few puppy drum showing up around the South Jetty! There's also some triggerfish and tautog around the rocks. Party boats offshore are catching sea bass, flounder and some triggerfish. More and more flounder are showing up offshore. Further offshore are bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dolphin, wahoo, sharks, and marlin.”
