>> Ken Derr, Lewes, DE, caught a tournament striper and earned a citation. The fish weighs 30.75# and measured 40”.
>> Raymond Young, Pennsburg PA., caught a 22.85#, 39” striper on a Stretch 30 at the Jersey Rips.
>> Eddie Jarrell, (CJ's Brother), called to let us know he was at Gordon's Pond and was covered up in doggies and skates, but he also pulled in a clean 28.25” striper.
>> ’Rehoboth Star’ reported: “Started out for our 7 1/2 mile ride to the fishing grounds.. going to give it a try in 50' depth.. we were rewarded with a few quick keepers and some shorts.. the bite was light and scratchy.... we wound up with a boat limit.. high hook had 9 keepers only keeping his legal limit of 5... Robert Jones, Irvinington, NJ was the pool winner with a 6 1/4 lb tog. Sat. started out nice with a shot of wish when we stopped.. it was just a pick around the boat.. the water was dirty and the current on the bottom was cold.... the fish shut completely down towards the end of the day.. 2 limits were had.. Pool winner was tied between Bill Kiefer, PA and Bob Murphy from Milton, DE with a 5 5 3/5 lb tog.”
>> ”I took Dell Baker out on my boat (‘Mr. lures’) today. He had a great time. He caught a pair of 28 & 30 lb. rock fish at IR-inlet. Thank you Marty Downs I wanted to add that Dell Baker caught both rockfish at one time. That's 60 lb. of bass he had to reel in. I thought that was dam good of him. Again thank you Martylures.”
>> Fishing report from Sue Foster, OC: “Inlet Water Temp: 48.0 De. 44009 Lightship Water Temp. 52.0. Tautog fishing is currently closed in Maryland waters until Jan.1,2015. "it looks like the striper fishing picked up offshore from the O.C. Inlet to Sea Colony. Maybe this NE wind will push some of the bait inshore and heat up the bite" Fenwick Tackle is closed for the season; we will reopen in April. Oyster Bay Tackle is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday thru Dec. 21st weather permitting." (410-524-3433)
