>> The stiper bite is good at night on sand fleas and eels with many shorts and some keepers. The sharks are actually biting the hooked stripes in half.
>> Croaker and flounder fishing has been good at Masseys Landing.
>> Getting good reports from the Kayakers, conoeists and waders over by the Cape Henlopen State Park Pier. Lots of good sized flounder being caught.
>> Well, Today will be the first in Delaware. 'Delaware Paddlesports/Fish Whisperer Charter' joint venture, and we are REALLY looking forward to the reports! Captain Rodney Jones of the 'Wreckaholic' will be the Mother Ship for a tuna chunking trip! The GoPro's will be put to the test on this trip! Chris Erby has promised many pictures and videos to share. Let's wish them luck and a safe journey!
>> Customer reported catching doormats in the canal at night right near Gordon's Pond State Park.
>> Ed Pilling caught a 5.80#, 24" flounder at the Haystacks on a minnow.
>> Chris and Chrissy Guest fished the beach today and caught several croaker and also pulled in a 2' hammerhead! Great day at the beach with family and friends!
>> Customer reported catching and releasing 2 red drum in the surf today; one at 18 and another at 12".
>> Paul Powalski of Bill's Sport Shop hit Massey's Landing this morning and caught his breakfast using a bucktail and Gulp!
>> Bob Geary of Bill's Sport Shop took his wife, Trish, out to Indian River for a day of fishing. And, as usual, the ladies outfish the men! Trish picked a 20" flounder on a minnow! Congrats Trish!
>> Had a customer call who was fishing on the beach this evening and said there was sticky stuff clinging to his line and could not wipe it off. It was happening to others also, he ended up having to respoll his reel. Any ideas Capt ? (Sounds like jelly fish or man of war)
>> Dave Biles called from his boat at the Outer Wall telling us he got 2 stripers at 21". fought like the dickens and had big shoulders!

> 'Gale Force Charters' fished the Coral Snags off IRI for
1 keeper flounder and 6 nice throw backs. Another trip, they trolled for blues and netted 30 then moved to the flounder territory for 4 nice flounder. Next charter wanted to clam and dug up 300 and haul seined for a doz. crabs. A 6' stingray from the ocean as well as flounder, blues and croaker caught from the IRI. Finished week with more flounder, croaker, schoolie rockfish, bluefish and blowfish.

With only a few boats venturing out fishing today we only have a couple reports but they are good ones! "White Lightning" (pictured) ventured back from an overnighter in the Washington with this beautiful 220# bigeye and 4 dolphin along with a white marlin release! "Osprey" returned with 2 bluefin (releasing 1) and 1 dolphins at the Hotdog, "Marli" released 8 yellowfin and caught 4 dolphin in the Washington.
Then, had a great trip with a good family. Got his gaffer mahi-mahi. Caught another mahi. Rough Conditions but these boys were Strong. Great job with Jim Bunting.

> 'Moore Bills Sport Fishing' "Fished the Washington canyon , flat calm. Whales were somewhat active and the skippies are starting to show up. Catch 3 big yellowfins and pulled off a bigeye. Charter jigged up probably 40 small yellowfins that had to released, overall fun day with a great group of guys that were fully involved."

They put 4 flounder in the box plus the seabass and a fishing rod which Nicole on the left is holding. Yes you heard that right Nicole caught that fishing rod out in the ocean.Nice family great time."

BLADES (July 15, 2015) – The Second Annual Recycled Cardboard Boat Regatta – presented by the Delaware Nature Society’s Abbott’s Mill Nature Center, in conjunction with DNREC’s Division of Watershed Stewardship’s Reclaim Our River Program, the Town of Blades and the Nanticoke River Sail & Power Squadron – will cast off on Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Nanticoke River Public Marine Park, 26 N. Market Street, Blades, DE 19973. Sign-in and registration begin at noon, with initial aesthetic judging at 1 p.m. and races starting at 2 p.m.
The Recycled Cardboard Boat Regatta is open to anyone who can build a boat from recycled cardboard and paddle it approximately 200 yards to the regatta finish line. spectators will be asked to pick a “People’s Choice” award winner, while a special “Titanic Award” will be given for the best and “Most Dramatic Sinking!”
