>> Captain Bill fell off a ladder about 2 months ago. It took several weeks for symtoms to appear and when they did, it was apparant an operation was needed. So to make a long story short, three weeks ago he had a crainiotomy. It has been a slow process of recovery and I didn.t leave his side during that time. We are both back to work for short periods of time and he is getting stronger every day. A full recovery is expected by October. Hopefully my reports are back on track, So sorry much fishing news was missed, but by now summer has progressed and things have changed. Thank you for the good wishes from our customers who have been informed.
>> Just a heads up! As of September 1st, the slot striper season will be closed! Until then you can keep 2 fish per angler between 20 and 25" in the Delaware Bay and it's tributaries. From the 1st on, it is 2 fish per angler, from 28 to 37 and 44" and above. Also on September 1st, TauTog closes for 4 weeks, and reopens on September 29th.
>> Mahi, Mahi, Mahi!!!! It's Mahi Madness from the Lightship out!!!!!! Limit is 10 per day per angler.
>> The surf is producing croaker, kingfish and small blues to 25".
>> Still a very good flounder bite at Site 10 and 11, Old Grounds area. Gulp seems to be out fishing cut bait. Massey's Ditch, IRI, Canal. around the Pier and B Buoy have been very productive.
>> Mark and Carol Stielger called from the beach to let us know they are catching kingfish on fresh mullet. Some are coming in with two fish on a rig also landed a 30" red drum.
>> Ed John, Angola, stopped in to thank us for the tip of using bucktails in the 4 to 6 oz range with a 6" Gulp! for flounder fishing in the ocean. He has been taking his friends 15.2 miles out of IRI and consistently coming back with boat limits!!! WTG ED!!!!
>> Rob Wolhar of ýDelaware Jet Ski Fishing spent 4 hours on the bay. Had to drop from four rods to two because of all the bites.
>> Bill Moore and his dad, Atglen, PA, caught a limit of flounder at B Buoy using Gulp. The largest weighed 6.1 measuring 25".
>> The fish of the day is CROAKER!!!! I have seen reports of up to 80 croaker per boat! You can't get below the croaker to get to the flounder! 80 fish may sound like a lot, but when there are 6 people on the boat, 15 fish per family, plus what you give to your neighbors, it's really not a lot of fish, but it sure is fun bailing fish like that! Even more fun when you have kids on the boat!!!!!!
>> Joe Hosler shared 4 Horsemen Kayak Fishing's and Delaware Paddlesport's
My buddy Jon Cunningham slammed a sailfish while prefishing for the Extreme Kayak Fishing Tournament in Pompano Beach, Fl.! Aweaome catch Jon!
>> Bill Weiss of BSS caught 3 bluefish and a king fish wnile surf fishing using mullet and squid at Savages Ditch.
>> Jeremy Gamble Warwick, PA, caught flounder at Massey using Gulp weighing in at 1.40#, 16".

>> 'Captain's Lady Charters': "Not to bad today. Congrats to John on the pool winning flounder weighing in at 2.6lbs beating little Mallory Wood out by 2ozs. On another trip,.. despite the nasty weather, picked up several keeper flounder."
>> We would like to welcome 'Dana Lynn Charters' to our family of Charter businesses:
"We took Vic C and his gang out today in some beautiful sea conditions and a nice catch of 19 keeper flounder and a sea bass. The bite is on people. Get out there and enjoy it while it's hot! On another trip" Today we took Steve and his family out for a 4 hour trip. Wind and currents weren't as favorable as yesterday but the crew did put 5 keeper flounder in the box. We fillet and packed the fish for them and had them on their way home by lunchtime."
>> Capt. Brian of the 'Lil Angler II' sent me this text: "Matt Wright managed this 20.2 pound mahi while trolling the Baltimore aboard 'Lil' Angler II', along with his first white marlin release! No word on whether he took the traditional plunge or not though!
>> 'Fish Whisperer Charters': "The Ross Trader group took an offshore trip on the 'Wreckaholic' Friday, putting 20 mahi, 20 skipjack, 2 yellowfin and a huge blackfin tuna in the coolers. Rodney Jones captained the boat with Scotty Stapleford in the pit.
On another trip, Captain Rodney Jones posted: Johnny Shine, LLC, took a trip on The 'Wreckaholic' Sunday. This group caught a lot of fish but alas the keeper variety was few and far between. We did manage two keeper flounder and one keeper seabass.
'Fish Whisperer Charters' Joe Waples and sons went offshore on The 'Wreckaholic' today getting their limit of yellowfin and 27 mahi. Great job men! Captain Rodney Meyers ran the boat
>> Captain Terry Murray of 'Reel Attitude Sportfishing' had a great day offshore fishing Friday. Ron Chris caught a pile of mahi-mahi for a boat limit of 40. Great Times.
