FISHING REPORT

>> Synopsis of fishing report:

Plentifull tog at the Outer Wall

Snapper blues up and down the beaches

Drum at the Haystacks

Mahi at the Canyons from Baltimore and Poor Mans

>> Johnny Slagys and Dwyane Tackett, NE PA, limited on tog to 19" on green crabs and fleas at the Outerwall.

>> Lou Sullivan caught 3 blues up to 12" on mullet at the Cape Henlopen Point.

>> Customers are reporting sheepshead are also being caught at the Outer Wall.

>> Inner wall holding a lot of tog but only 1 of 9 was a keeper.

>> The Outer wall is holding bigger tog. Anglers are able to limit out on green crabs.

>> Carrie Leahy caught a nice false albacore in the Indian River Inlet the other day.

>> Wesley J Morrison and friend caught drum at the Hay Stacks on fleas and also said everyone limited out! Great job guys!

>> Still plenty of mahi offshore. Chris Atkins and his crew caught plenty of dolphin between the Baltimore and Poor Man's this week.

>> If you have seen this picture on Lewes Harbour Marina's facebook page, I would have to say that the prize for most photogenic tog fisherman of the week goes to Andy Nowakowski, and his 7.11 # citation he earned pulling off the "big rock". Wow, was he excited! Would like to thank Joe at the Lewes Harbor Marina for sharing with us the great report and pictures, so that we all can pass the information on to all the anglers. Thanks again JOE

>> Amy Lewes caught a nice 19 1/2" tautog at the Outer wall on Asian shore crabs. Nice job especially since Amy just started fishing down here in the past couple years.

> >From Bob Foster at Oyster Bay Tackle: "The 2nd-4th St. bulkhead is starting to produce some keeper tautog, lots of small sea bass and a few flounder. Anglers fishing from the route 50 bridge are catching flounder and tautog by day and a few stripers at night. Surfcasters are catching snapper blues and a few kingfish on finger mullet and mullet fillets."

>> Blue fish up to 13" are showing up at the Point on top and bottom rigs tipped with mullet.

>> A customer wrote: "I caught a ( Northern Stargazer) on October 15th off the Conquest Drive On. My family and I have been fishing the surf for a week and having a blast on the blues. We can hardly wait for all of the other opportunities and varieties of fishing to come. Thanks to Bill's Sport Shop for the hook up on gear.

>> Brian was throwing metal at IRI and caught 25 blues in the 12" range.

>> Wesley J Morrison said the Outer Wall faced the wrath of sandfleas and caught a boat load of taugtog. Eight throw backs and the biggest keeper being 5# 6 oz.

>> Rich Harpel, Lewes, had a great evening at the Outer Wall catching 3 nice taugtog on green crabs with the heaviest being 3.40#.
