>> Our annual flea market is this Saturday, April 2nd. We arrive at 5 AM.
Since there are no empty stores, Don Avandolio will set up his fly fishing display in our store.
As always, we ask that you take only one space. From the amount of calls, many people will be here.
This event is for fisherman and women – and not for vendors.
We have lots of line to spin on reels purchased at the flea market at a reasonable price.
FISHING REPORT
>> ”... Anchored up Sat am and Owen had a 4lber right away.. We picked away and on a couple of drops it was very good... Sat we had 7 limits and a 7 1/2 lb pool winner... Sunday the water was dirty and it was a slower pic but high hook went to Rosco with 6 keepers only keeping his legal limit of 5 and 3 other limits... Pool winner was Yom with a nice 13 1/4 lb tog...”Rehoboth Star. Reservations 302-727-6601
>> Freshwater fishing is hot in Laurel. Jerry Ford of Milford and Jeff Hudson of Felton caught two largemouth bass over 6# on Wed 3/ 24/16 fishing around the cypress trees at Trap Pond in Laurel on a 1/4 oz black/blue jig tipped with a blue chigger craw, also several smaller bass, 2 pickerel, and several small crappie caught on curly tails. All were released. The fishing can only get better !
>> Lots of short stripers on the beach and in IRI. Also reports of small blues in IRI.
>> Robert Coffman, Lewes, had fun pulling these 1.2# white perch out of the Broadkill. He said they loved the worms and there were plenty more..
>> Matt Adams caught 2 short stripers at Dewey Beach.
>> There are lots of white perch in the Broadkill. Some big tog are on the wrecks in 60-120’ of water. Lots of 18-24" stripers and a few 29-30" in commercial nets.
>> Three keeper flounder were caught in IRI and Rehoboth Bay.
>> Ron Sweed caught 2 trout at 17" on Powerbait at Newton Pond.
>> Jimmy and Donna McMullin caught 35 crabs at Love Creek.
FYI
>> Tog Season is open Jan 1 - Mar 31- 5 fish at 15”. On April 1 till May 11, you can keep 3 fish at 15". Then, tog reopens on July 17.


Flounder is 4 fish at 16” and open all year.

All of last year’s regulations remain the same until further notice.
