Fishing News

> >Fritz Geiger caught 2 stripers to 25" on fresh cob mullet at Cape Henlopen Beach.
> >Bob Adams came into the store on his day off and said: "I'm tired of this wind! I'm going fishing!". So he bought a dozen spot and went to the inlet and fished the incoming tide. He called back about noon, telling us he saw 1 other fish caught, besides his 32 incher!
> >A lot of short stripers are being caught at IRI off the rail on saltwater flies and bucktails with worms.

> >Paul Powalski Of Millsboro, brought a 19.10 lb tournament striper to the scales caught in the DE Bay.
> >Ken Kullman of Longneck, managed his limit of stripers to 19.15 lb. which he caught on live spot also in the Bay.

> >Joe Yochis and Bill Weiss of Bill's Sport Shop, pulled a couple of ling cod off the beach at Gordons Pond using mullet on small top and bottom rigs.
> >Terry called in to say they "killed" the stripers today with 5 over 40" in the 30 to 32lb range. The good news is that they are a mile off the beach. The bad news is they are really moving fast and without baitfish for them he's saying that by the end of next week the cows will be past... but then the next wave will arrive!
> >A customer reported catching blues to 30" at 3 R's Rd.
> >Sue Foster, of Oyster Bay Tackle, reports that tautog fishing was AGAIN the predominate OC fish this week. Anglers during the week reported only sharks and skates. Anglers that made it offshore on Sunday finally got into some blue and striper action.
> >As reported on Saltfish Forum, the "Katydid" with Capt Brent, had a great day of tog fishing ending with 3 fish over 10 lbs, and 2 other citation fish and one was Paul's tog at 19.5 lbs, 32" long.
