Bill's Sport Shop/The Wharf Restaurant Tournament

Winner of this week's 1/2 day charter on "R-Way II" was Steve Clark. Congrats!

Paul Powalski of Cooper Realty Associates, presented Scott Fluharty with a Gift Card which is good for a 4 lap ride around the Monster Race Track at Dover Speedway worth $100.00 which he donated to the tournament.

As reminder ladies, even if your fish does not make the leader board, bring it in to be weighed. You just may win the "Top Female Angler Award" of a full day, inshore charter aboard The "Katydid" with Capt. Chet Harer.

> >WGMD, 92.7, will continue to be at the Wharf Restaurant broadcasting every Friday night during the tournament. Captain Bill Baker and Bill Collie will also be there live for their 'Great American Sports Talk Show' which is aired all year on Friday nights between 5pm and 7pm.

> >Fritz Geiger caught 2 stripers to 25" on fresh cob mullet at Cape Henlopen Beach.
> >Bob Adams came into the store on his day off and said: "I'm tired of this wind! I'm going fishing!". So he bought a dozen spot and went to the inlet and fished the incoming tide. He called back about noon, telling us he saw 1 other fish caught, besides his 32 incher!
> >A lot of short stripers are being caught at IRI off the rail on saltwater flies and bucktails with worms.
> >Chris Chiartas, age 13, caught a 17.65 lb, 39" striper with Captain
Judson Bennett using an eel at the Valley.

> >Brian Keech of Longneck DE, boated a 28.25 lb striper at Overfalls slinging live eels.
> >Captain Les Clemmer of "Martha Marie Charters", is currently in 3rd
place catching a tournament striper weighing in at 36 lbs.

> >Paul Powalski Of Millsboro, brought a 19.10 lb tournament striper to the scales caught in the DE Bay.
> >Ken Kullman of Longneck, managed his limit of stripers to 19.15 lb. which he caught on live spot also in the Bay.
> >Dave Albright, John Albright and Ken Kullman caught 4 stripers at the 8s on live spot.
> >Matt Rovine of Philly Pa, fished the DE Bay and boated an 18.80 lb striper on a live eel.
> >James Jones of Geenwood, weighed in a tournament striper weighing 34.30 lbs.
> >John Heck of Lewes, used live spot to capture a 16.35 lb striper at the 8s.
> >More tournament stripers were weighed in by Evans Norwood of Harbeson, 17.90lb, Jeff Heck of Lewes, 17 lb. and Dave Lynam of Rehoboth, a 23.45lb. and on another trip, a 28.90 pounder.
> >Joe Yochis and Bill Weiss of Bill's Sport Shop, pulled a couple of ling cod off the beach at Gordons Pond using mullet on small top and bottom rigs.
> >Terry called in to say they "killed" the stripers today with 5 over 40" in the 30 to 32lb range. The good news is that they are a mile off the beach. The bad news is they are really moving fast and without baitfish for them he's saying that by the end of next week the cows will be past... but then the next wave will arrive!
> >A customer reported catching blues to 30" at 3 R's Rd.
> >Sue Foster, of Oyster Bay Tackle, reports that tautog fishing was AGAIN the predominate OC fish this week. Anglers during the week reported only sharks and skates. The Rt. 50 Bridge is seeing stripers at night. Anglers in boats are also having luck fishing near the Bridge with live spot and live eels. Anglers that made it offshore on Sunday finally got into some blue and striper action.
> >As reported on Saltfish Forum, the "Katydid" with Capt Brent, had a great day of tog fishing ending with 3 fish over 10 lbs, and 2 other citation fish and one was Paul's tog at 19.5 lbs, 32" long.
Turkey Week Striper Tournament

The 3rd annual IRBA Turkey Week Striper Tournament will be held 11/20 to 11/27. Captains meeting will be at the Green Turtle on 11/20. Checking Stations are Lewes Harbor Marina and White Marlin Marina in Ocean City. For more info visit www.irba.us or call 302-378-7902.
