>> A few keeper tog are being caught at the Wall at first light.
>> Once again Brian Smith caught his limit of stripers to 29” on top water plugs in the Nanticoke.
>> Alan and John were diving at the Wall and wound up with a couple of sheepshead up to 7#. Alan also managed to catch a 10# flounder.
>> A few 12 year olds, Jack, Patrick, Nathan and Quinn did a little evening fishing at the pier using bloods and squid. They said action was non-stop with about 150 croakers being caught along with a puffer and a small sheepshead
>> Jim, Mike and Mark fished the Old Grounds. They threw everything they had for flounder and caught 42 with only 9 keepers.
>> Bob Foster, Ocean City: “Inlet water temperature 82 degrees. The offshore reefs and wrecks are starting to produce decent catches of flounder and a few triggerfish. A few keeper flounder were caught in the East channel north of the Route 50 Bridge. Also, a few keepers were landed in the channel between the Airport and Castaways campground. White Gulp swimming mullet continues to be the hot bait for the flounder. Decent size croakers have moved into the back bays and are biting bloodworms and Fishbites. The fishing should improve when we get out of this Southwest wind pattern and the water cleans up. Kingfish, spot and small croakers are in the surf. To catch these panfish use a kingfish rig (small hooks) with a combination bait of bloodworm or Fishbite bloodworm with a little strip of squid or any kind of cut bait. Shark fishing from the beach is still going strong for anglers tossing chunks of bunker or mackerel on circle hook.”
>> Gabe Flocco reported that on the ‘Lazy Man Charter’ trip on the ‘Capt. Bob 2’ they had a small group of 7 and caught 17 flounder and 3 sea bass. Good Job guys!
>> Nick, Conn and Mark fished Site 11 for a couple of days with jumbo minnows and flounder bellies. They had 7 keeper flounder with 15 others being released, a couple of sea bass and 35 skates as well. They thought about renaming the boat ‘The Skate’…
>> Charlie stopped in for some bunker to go crabbing and said that he is still getting a lot of fat crabs and to make sure you have all your floats marked and everything in order as he was checked while he was out there. He had everything in the proper place and was good to go. He said he was getting 8 to 10 keepers in each of his pots.
>> Rhonda and Steve fished Site 10 for a couple of hours with squid and minnows. They boated 4 nice keeper flounder but said as soon as the tide stopped the skates started biting.
>> John Pietropaoli was fishing Gordons Pond and pulled in 3’ sharks on mullet.
