Irish Eyes Restaurant in Lewes is the location this year for the striper/tautog Friday night buffet. The 2011 Striper Tournament will be held from Oct. 21st till Dec. 2nd. The entry fee is $75.00 for the angler and an additional $25.00 for a guest. To enter the tautog division, it will cost an additional $25.00 and you must be entered in the striper division. It will include a free T shirt and buffet for you and one guest for seven (7) Fri. nights.
First place for the striper winner this year will be $1500.00, 2nd place, $1000.00 and third, $500.00. The three winners in the tautog category, 1st place will be 50% of the tog pot, 2nd, 30% and third, 20%. Wildcard prizes will be drawn from ALL anglers and the Calcutta, winner take all!!!

>> Arthur Lodge of Lewes caught a citation sea bass at Site 11 weighing in at 3.81# and 21 1/4" on Gulp! and squid.
>> Skip Mosiej, Luther Marks and John Janewsio on the "This is It" went to the Old Grounds and came away with 5 keeper flounder to 9.25#, 28" and 9 knot head sea bass on squid and minnows.
>> Mike Perry, Dover, DE, called to report that he caught a 29" striper on the beach at 3 R's Rd. in a rainstorm. He caught it on a 3" Berkley shad on a bass fishing rod. He also reported catching several blues up to 17".
>> Puppy Drum is being reported at Massey's Landing.
U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Skills & Seamanship (BS&S) Course
The USCG Auxiliary, Indian River Flotilla, 12-09, will be presenting a seven-week, Boating Skills & Seamanship (BS&S) Course starting on Monday, 19 September 2011, at Short’s Marine Office/Showroom off Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE. Classes are from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. each Monday. The course covers boating, navigational rules, required safety equipment, navigational aids, and numerous related subjects. Students are awarded a USCGAUX certificate upon successful completion of the course and a safe boating card from the State of Delaware. The BS&S Course is one of the most comprehensive courses available for recreational boaters and satisfies both Federal and State training requirements. Optional lessons may be included as appropriate. The cost is $35.00 per student and includes a study manual with workbook. The cost for additional family members that can share the study manual or those with their own manual is $15.00. Call R.A. (Andy) Smith at (302) 537-2350 to enroll.

> Cape Henlopen Point has re-opened on the Ocean side. The Bay side will re-open on October 1st.
> Sea Bass closes 10/12 through 10/31.
> Flounder closes 10/24 through 12/31
> Black drum in the DE Bay is 3 fish at 16". Everywhere else it is no size, no creel limit.
