Bill's Sport Shop and Irish Eyes Restaurant Tournament

Our Irish Eyes/Bill's Sport Shop Tournament is in full swing. Anglers and their guests are enjoying delicious food, lively conversation and the many door prizes given out each week.

The Tee shirts have arrived. They are available at the store. We will also have them with us Friday night at Irish Eyes.

Available by special order, are extra tee shirts, long sleeve tee shirts, sweat shirts and hoodies. Stop by the store, pick up an order form Friday night.

The final Calcutta is worth $1750.00.

Final Tog is: 1st place - $612.50, 2nd place - $367.50 and 3rd place is worth $245.00.

Fishing News

>> Evan Falgowski, the second and third place holder in Bills Sport Shop tournament came in with yet another striper. This one was a whopping 46.35#, 48 1/4" length and a girth of 32" to take over first place.

>> Chris Wagner stopped in our store on Wed and bought a chartruese Stretch 25. He went to Overfalls and caught the largest striper of his life at 48", 28" girth and weighing 42.5# He is not in the tournament!

>> Tom Bailor with his nephew Bob, went to Gull Point with a trot line and came away with 2 bushels of #1 FAT crabs. Hard to believe that on November 3rd he's still getting them!

>> A customer reported that his son was fishing the surf just north of the IRI and caught a 40# striper on whole mullet.
>> Capt. Skip Mosiej on the "This Is It", Luke Marks and "Big" John Luckas took some sand fleas and green crabs from Bill's and went to the Ice Breakers where they caught 16 tog up to 6 3/4#.
>> Tammy Parker, one of the 6 female entrants in the tournament, weighed in a 21.25#, 39” striper.

>> Steve Kibler, also in the tournament, weighed a 6.8# and 5.8# tautog to put him into 2nd and 3rd places.

>> Dave Lynam brought in a tog that weighed in at 4.60#, and a striper that hit the scales at 28.25# Dave is in Bill's tournament and had the striper lead for about an hour before being bumped down. The fish were just a little light of making the leader board.

>> Ryan Falgowski brought in a 36.35# and a 21.90# tounament striper. Cory Falgowski weighed in a 22.30# striper. Ryan's linesider put him in second place behind his brother, Evan, also knocking Evan out of third place.

>> Megan Laurent weighed in a 19.80# striper.

>> Tammy Parker is in first place in the Female Division weighing in a 21.25#, 39" striper with a 26" girth.


2011 DMS Intra-Club Tournament A highly informal tournament among DMS members- treasured of trophies-BRAGGING RIGHTS! will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 7:00 AM till 3:30 PM. The location will be from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island.

> Cape Henlopen Point has re-opened on the Ocean side and the Bay side
> Sea Bass closed 10/12 through 10/31.
> Flounder closes 10/24 through 12/31
