Annual Flea Market
April 14 is the date of this year's Flea Market which will be held on the parking lot with one space allotted for each angler. Bring your table or use your tailgate. This flea market is for folks trying to get rid of fishing and boating "stuff" they no longer need or want. It is not for dealers. Remember, one man's trash is another man's treasure. It is a good time to turn your unwanted gear into cash and to purchase fishing equipment on your wish list.
Representatives from companies will be available to talk about and demonstrate new products. Several local charter Captains will be taking reservations for upcoming trips.
We will also begin accepting registrations for Bill's Sport Shop 2012 Flounder Tournament.
>> A customer came in Friday morning telling us he was trolling a mile north of the inlet and got a 3 man limit of stripers. Once they got their limit, they stopped and used jigs and caught another 60 fish, under the birds that were 3 stories high. They are here!!!!!!
>> James Blackburn of Lewes caught a 1.32#, 12.5” white perch at Beaver Dam Creek on grass shrimp.
> Jaden Azato, 4 yrs old, of Lewes caught a citation crappie at Missipillion using grass shrimp.
>> Read a report of bluefish and short stripers in the surf. Blues were up to 24” (Delaware-surf-fishing.com) Also on this report, flatties at the rail, and fat crabs in the bay!
>> Captain Mike Rivera of “On Delivery Charters” fished three days last week and landed a lot of nice tautog with the largest weighing in at 12#. Saturday was for striper and he had six of them up to 38".
>> Reports from Saltfish indicate drum being caught from the beach at BroadKill using blood worms.
>> Lots of fresh clams are being picked up by those hearty enough to brave the chilly waters of the Rehoboth Bay.

Delaware State Parks Fee Season
DNREC’s Division of Parks and Recreation reminds visitors to Delaware’s State Parks that entrance fees are now being collected. The fee season extends until November 30.
DNREC has stocked Newton Pond in Greenwood. A second stocking was done March 15th. Newton Pond is located east of Greenwood. GPS address is approximately 13125 Hunters Cove Road, Greenwood, DE 19950. Also stocked is Tidbury Pond near Dover and Newton Pond outside of Greenwood.
Anglers shouldn't be surprised to find golden trout in their creels to go with the traditional rainbows as a small stocking of them was made in at least one of the ponds. Stocking includes trophy-sized rainbow trout (14 inches or greater) at all locations.
