Annual Flea Market
April 14 is the date of this year's Flea Market which will be held on the parking lot with one space allotted for each angler. Bring your table or use your tailgate. It is a good time to turn your unwanted gear into cash and to purchase fishing equipment on your wish list. Representatives from companies will be available to talk about and demonstrate new products. Several local charter Captains will be taking reservations for upcoming trips.
We will also begin accepting registrations for Bill's Sport Shop 2012 Flounder Tournament.
We will be opening at 5 am on April 14th for the flea market.

We heard from our friends at Oyster Bay Tackle who now has the MD 2012 fishing licenses and boat stickers. We are now on the new computerized license system. During busy times, you may have to wait a bit as the system is not as fast as last year, when we could simply write it out on paper!
Breaking news from MD DNR: "New Tautog regulations go into effect today. Current regulations include a 16-inch minimum size limit, and a season ending November 15th. Consistent with previous years, on May 16th through October 31st there is a creel limit of two Tautogs per day; from January 1st through May 15th and November 1st through November 15th, there is a creel limit of four Tautogs per day.
More stripers are being reported inshore and in the surf. Tautog bite was pretty good this week as long as you were on the right tide and fishing in the right place! First black drum have been reported from the surf. Lots of wind this week made fishing offshore difficult. Let's see what Easter Weekend brings!
The “Grizzly” is back in the water with her newly rebuilt engine and is off to a good start. With the lack of any real winter temperatures the water temperatures are much higher than the past several seasons. Tog, stripers and black drum have already been caught in the Delaware Bay. There has been a large body of stripers wintering off Ocean City, Maryland and with any luck that bait that they are holding on will push up to the mouth of the Delaware Bay soon. .
