A variety of baits - smelt, Gulp, minnows and live spot-is working for flounder in the DE Bay, IRI, Lewes Canal, Massey's Landing and the Pier. Stripers are biting live spot and Gulp.Also Sea Bass and Flounder are at the old grounds and nice keeper Flounder at site 10. Croaker and Trigger Fish have been landed at various reef and wreck locations in the De. Bay. Gaffer dolphin, Yellowfin , Big Eye,White and Blue Marlin and mako are being caught offshore. Blue Fin Tuna have made their appearance at the Hot Dog.
>> Scots Phil son, William, aboard BB`s boat, caught 5 flounder from 19" to 22" at IRI.
>> James Seals, Millsboro, was drifting Gulp and minnows in the Lewes Canal and caught two flounder the largest weighing 3.15 #, 20".
>> Tim Gola, Newark, De, caught a 19.5" flounder at CHSP Pier using Gulp!
>> Mark Stiegler went out with Captain Mike on the "On Delivery Charters” and reported a 6' mako and 10 gaffable dolphin.
>> Scott Keller, Milton, weighed in a 4.75#, 23" flounder caught on spot at IRI.
>> Vaughn Ludwig, Carlise, PA, fished the DE Bay with smelt and came away with a 4.15#, 22 1/4" flounder.
>> Chuck Nagle of Bill's Sport Shop was fishng at Massey's Landing using live spot and landed a 19.5" flounder.
>> Ryan Corsiatto, Middletown Md, caught a 10.95#, 33" striper at IRI on a fly.
>> Richard Cease, Seaford, De, nailed a 29", 11.35# striper at IRI on Gulp!
>> Fishing Report by Sue Foster, Oyster Bay Tackle, OC: "Water Temp: 76.1 Flounder fishing really picked up in and around Ocean City and Delaware both inshore and offshore. Indian River Inlet is seeing flounder and striper action at night. Surf is so-so with some catches of tasty kingfish along with the usual sharks and skates. Lots of small spot around in the bays for anglers catching bait for flounder and stripers. Others are cast netting finger mullet in the back bays for flounder and striper baits.Some croaker were reported in the bay. Offshore was good on sea bass and flounder and further offshore, tuna and marlin."
